The original mighty A1 and A3 LNER locomotives were all scrapped - with one famous exception.

Recently, with an enduring passion for steam locomotives, efforts were made to build a real working replica of those magnificent long lost locomotives. So the A1 Steam Trust was formed for the purpose of building a Peppercorn A1 Class locomotive which was named 'Tornado'.  The last member of the class having been 60162, Tornado was naturally numbered 60163.

Hornby have produced this superb Train Pack in response to the great interest that the real locomotive has generated around the world. This is a completely new model from Hornby. It is loco driven and DCC Ready.

It has Brunswick Green livery with early BR decals, in a train pack with three Pullman cars .
